Ultrasound (USG) reporting software for sonography reports

Ultrasound reporting software gives sonologists ready USG templates — abdomen and pelvis, KUB, obstetric, thyroid, scrotum, breast — with blanks and tables for measurements, so a report is completed by filling values rather than retyping. Caresoft RIS adds patient details from the HIS bill, a warning before signing a report that still has blanks, digital signature and delivery as a PDF on WhatsApp and email.

Fill in values, not paragraphs

Most USG reports follow a fixed order — liver, gall bladder, CBD, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, bladder, pelvic organs — with measurements in between. Templates in Caresoft RIS carry that order with blanks such as "Right kidney: ___ x ___ cm". The sonologist fills the values and edits what is abnormal. If any ___ blanks are left when finalizing, RIS asks before signing.

Obstetric reports

Obstetric templates can hold the biometry table (BPD, HC, AC, FL with gestational age), placenta, liquor and EFW, and the PC-PNDT Act declaration line on every report. RIS produces the report; it does not replace the statutory Form F register your centre maintains.

Templates from your existing Word formats

Existing Word formats do not need to be retyped. The hospital administrator selects many .docx files at once and each becomes a template, keeping bold, underline, highlight, colours, bullets, numbering, indents and tables. Each template can then be linked to HIS service codes so the right one opens automatically.

Delivery and records

When a report is finalized, RIS creates a private link that expires after the number of days the hospital chooses. The patient receives it by email — with the report attached as a PDF — and on WhatsApp through the official WhatsApp Business API, where the PDF can also be sent as a file. Every send is logged with its result.

Every study stays in the patient's file in RIS, so a follow-up scan is reported with the earlier report one click away.

Questions

Is there a starter USG abdomen template?

Yes. Every new hospital gets five starter templates — X-ray chest, USG abdomen and pelvis, CT brain, MRI brain and USG obstetric — which can be edited, duplicated or removed, alongside the hospital's own imported formats.

Can measurements be entered in a table?

Yes. Templates support tables, and tables from imported Word files are kept.

Does RIS generate PC-PNDT Form F?

No. Obstetric templates can carry the declaration line, but Form F is maintained separately as your centre does today.
