Radiology reporting software for diagnostic and imaging centres

For a standalone diagnostic centre, Caresoft RIS works on its own: the front desk registers the patient and study in RIS (or your billing system sends it), the radiologist reports from templates and signs, and the patient receives the PDF report on WhatsApp and email instead of coming back to collect paper.

Works without a hospital HIS

Under New study, staff search for an existing patient by name, UHID or mobile, or add a new one, then add one or more studies — several studies for the same visit in one go. Patients without a UHID get one generated. If your centre uses billing software, it can send studies to RIS through the documented API instead.

Fewer collection-counter queues

When a report is finalized, RIS creates a private link that expires after the number of days the hospital chooses. The patient receives it by email — with the report attached as a PDF — and on WhatsApp through the official WhatsApp Business API, where the PDF can also be sent as a file. Every send is logged with its result.

The delivery log shows every email and WhatsApp with its result, so failed sends — a wrong number, for example — are visible and can be resent.

Radiologists working from anywhere

Caresoft RIS runs in the browser, so visiting or remote radiologists report and sign from wherever they are, with your templates and your letterhead.

Only users the administrator allows can finalize. A signed report cannot be overwritten; changing it needs a written reason and creates a new version, with the full history kept. Only one person can edit a draft at a time — anyone else who opens it sees it read-only and is told who is editing. Every finalize, amendment, print, PDF download and send is recorded.

Seeing the day

The usage screen shows reports finalized by modality and by radiologist, the average time from billing to final report, what is waiting now and failed deliveries.

Questions

Can we use Caresoft RIS without any billing software?

Yes. Patients and studies can be registered directly in RIS.

Can a visiting radiologist sign remotely?

Yes, if the administrator gives that user permission to finalize and uploads their signature image.

Is there a limit on users?

The number of active users is set by your plan. The hospital administrator can deactivate and add users within that limit.
